Run for the Cure is this Sunday October 5.The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event. Each year, thousands of Canadians of all ages and walks of life unite to participate in the Run. Each year, thousands of Canadians are touched by breast cancer. It not only impacts the individuals living with the disease, but families, friends and loved ones as well. The reasons for participating vary, but we all have the same goal in mind: to create a future without breast cancer. One in 9 women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. One in 28 will not win the fight!!!!
Make a difference!!!!

Isn't that incredible! How cool to see!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at how organized the whole breast cancer search for the cure movement has become. To think that only a few years ago, who would have even thought to so much as mention this disease. It does go to show us that awareness is one step at a time.
ReplyDeleteThat's a first for me. This is so different.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome event!
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat! I wish I could have seen it. It's amazing that once someone you know has breast cancer it seems that you become aware of other women too, I know 4 women that had it.
ReplyDeleteSis, did you know that Cyprus has the Guiness world record for the longest unbroken chain with bras which is 114.000 bras, with a population of less than a million. http://beaut.ie/blog/?p=5715
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, I would love to see that!
ReplyDeleteHere in Las Vegas they have a breast cancer event name, "Bras Across The Strip."
ReplyDeleteReally, anyway that money and awareness can be raised is a good thing.
I love stuff like this. I'm running the race for the cure next month!
ReplyDeleteAmazing and incredible! As in all cases, awareness is always a great thing. Breast Cancer affects women ALL over the world and I'm led to understand that MEN can be affected as well... so great job on the awareness Val!
ReplyDeleteThat is a really good idea, to stretch out the bras and such a worthwhile cause too.
