Cooking Light Virtual Supper Club

Ultimately their love of food, blogging and their commitment to a health conscious lifestyle is what has brought these ladies and one gent from Canada and the United States ( joining east and west and north and south) together. Our very first ever Virtual Supper Club was originally sponsored by Cooking Light magazine and although the faces may have changed since its birth in 2009 we have always had a love for Cooking Light magazine which has an emphasis on healthy eating and living.

You can join in by creating a dish based on the theme chosen each month and comment on any of our blog posts with a link to your recipe post. Post your recipe on your own blog on/or around the first Wednesday of each month.

We are also accepting guest bloggers to join in for each months theme so drop us a line if you are interested in joining in.

These are the monthly themes chosen for 2014 so if you would care to participate get your thinking caps on!!

Let's introduce you to the members who have opened up their hearts and their kitchens and become dedicated fixtures of the Virtual Supper Club to share recipes from the pages of Cooking Light. The idea is simple because we all share a common interest in cooking and meal planning and of course the food...oh the food!!! This is a team effort where we we get together virtually once a month and combine what Cooking Light followers like best...good food with great company!!!

Val - More Than Burnt ToastI have been a regular contributor since the beginning of the supper club. When I am not travelling or attending cooking classes, local ingredients and wines of the Okanagan valley inspire me. My blog More Than Burnt Toast has been my passion for almost 8 years and has evolved with me over time as I have gained confidence in the kitchen. Follow my travels through Italy. Mexico, and Greece one recipe at a time as well as daily experimentation in my own kitchen. Wouldn't it be something to attend every cooking school worldwide and then write a guide about it for others to follow in our footsteps?? Every day we should be excited about what we are eating even if it just means making use of a wonderful find at our local farmers market. I look forward to getting to know you!

Sandi -  Whistlestop Cafe Cooking Sandi is a true Southerner, but a traveler at heart. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama and knows more about fried green tomatoes than fricassees, but always enjoys trying a variety of new recipes. Her blog is Whistle Stop Cafe Cooking... a southern cafe their family owned for many years. In addition to being a Nurse Practitioner, she helps her husband with the family business~ testing new food products and writing cookbooks. Her kids are grown, and are in and out of the house, occasionally adding spice and activity to the empty nest.

Sarah of All Our Fingers in the Pie from Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Sarah says, "When I earned my Home Economics degree my passion was clothing and design. Over the years it has shifted to cooking and food. I started my blog so my friends would not have to listen to my incessant rambling about recipes, foods and cooking. I have found a whole new world of friends that teach me so much. I moved from the big city to a small prairie city and the ingredients are limited. This has not diminished my passion one bit!  Welcome to my journey."

Shelby - The Life and Loves of Grumpy's Honeybunch Mom of two young men and wife to the infamous Grumpy living in Northern New York. Inspired by her Grandmother, she started her blog as a record of memories and recipes and it gradually brought forth a passion for photography and writing along with a whole new world of Internet blogging friends! She satisfies her "need" to bake by feeding the "starving" college students and staff at her place of employment and recently started a venture called HoneyB's Kitchen. A new chapter in her life begins as she takes on a Vegan lifestyle and a recent move.
