Let's introduce you to the members who have opened up their hearts and their kitchens and become dedicated fixtures of the Virtual Supper Club to share recipes from the pages of Cooking Light. The idea is simple because we all share a common interest in cooking and meal planning and of course the food...oh the food!!! This is a team effort where we we get together virtually once a month and combine what Cooking Light followers like best...good food with great company!!!
Val - More Than Burnt Toast. I have been a regular contributor since the beginning of the supper club. When I am not travelling or attending cooking classes, local ingredients and wines of the Okanagan valley inspire me. My blog More Than Burnt Toast has been my passion for almost 8 years and has evolved with me over time as I have gained confidence in the kitchen. Follow my travels through Italy. Mexico, and Greece one recipe at a time as well as daily experimentation in my own kitchen. Wouldn't it be something to attend every cooking school worldwide and then write a guide about it for others to follow in our footsteps?? Every day we should be excited about what we are eating even if it just means making use of a wonderful find at our local farmers market. I look forward to getting to know you!

She lives in Birmingham, Alabama and knows more about fried green tomatoes than fricassees, but always enjoys trying a variety of new recipes. Her blog is Whistle Stop Cafe Cooking... a southern cafe their family owned for many years. In addition to being a Nurse Practitioner, she helps her husband with the family business~ testing new food products and writing cookbooks.
