Getting in the Holiday Spirit with President's Choice

After a long and gruelling day at work I arrived home to a message on the answering machine. "Please pick up a package between the hours of 8 - 6", the canned voice chimed in. Nothing perks me up better than the anticipation of a Christmas bundle. A package for little 'ole me! Well let me tell you Christmas has come early here at the More Than Burnt Toast household!! It was something I have been eagerly anticipating from the Presidents Choice Brand of companies and Hill and Knowlton. And they did not disappoint me. What a fun idea!!!!

They sent along a package with items beautifully gift wrapped to open each and every day until Christmas. Another package will arrive on my doorstep on the 24th and another on December 1st.  It's like the 12 days of Christmas early... and on steroids!!!!!!

So along with my usual delicious recipe lineups and personal challenges here at More Than Burnt Toast the "child in me" will be ripping off the wrappers of many gifts in the days to come and sharing them with you. First of all I received a beautiful fresh wreath to grace my door for the 16th ready to create a spectacularly fresh and fragrant holiday entrance. It is the perfect reminder that Christmas is indeed looming and for those of you who haven't started getting Christmas gift ideas together for friends and family... what's stopping 'ya....wink....wink.

President's Choice is offering  an array of outdoor holiday arrangements, wreaths and garlands all guaranteed to be made with 100% Canadian fresh assorted evergreens. They are complete with bright red holiday berries, a red velvet bow and local pine cones. Bright green and fragrant greenery will greet your guests all through the holiday season. Channel your anticipation for the holiday season by starting to decorate, plan your party foods and enjoy a few quiet weekends before the parties begin. I can never start thinking about Christmas too early!

Now to continue with those gifts! They discovered these spectacular cashews in Northeastern Brazil and jumped at the chance to bring them to your home. Selected for their sweetness and crunch, they're graded by hand to ensure that each one is eye-poppingly large. Then they're slowly dry roasted, lightly tossed in canola oil and salted. Mix up a festive holiday trail mix with dried berries, seeds and these jumbo cashew nuts as a main event in themselves.

Today is the 18th and I have just opened another package. "On the third day of Presidents Choice Christmas the company gave to me Bakers Gift Loaf Pans." I love these!!!!!  You get 6 oven-safe silicone coated paper loaf pans that are more than perfect for gift giving. Give your home baking a special touch with these great looking giftable loaf pans. Simply bake your loaf right in the pan, let it cool, tie the ribbon around it and your delicious homemade gift is ready for giving. Why fight throngs of shoppers when you can create fabulous, personal gifts from the comfort of your own kitchen? Gift-baking is this year's tastiest trend. Bake a delicious Nutella Swirl Poundcake, Blood Orange Olive Oil Cake, or an English Muffin Loaf  to slice and toast on Christmas morning for gift giving.

Stay tuned to see what else we received from President's Choice over the next few weeks. Ho, ho, ho.....

And the gift keeps giving! What I love about President's Choice is their involvement in another charitable organization with their role as President's Choice® Children’s Charity . They have increased their support to Breakfast for Learning to $7.2 million. Breakfast for Learning provides nutrition programs to help children and youth across the country receive healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks to help fuel a better learning environment. Way to keep the holiday spirit going all year round!

  11. Good for you! I haven't even been out shopping yet to see their new line. You always do a great review. I was really into their Close to Home Campaign! I did two posts on it! How wonderful that they wrapped everything for you! That is one smart marketer!

  12. I should have mentioned that President's Choice products are available at Zehr's, Canadian Superstore, Extra Foods, and probably other grocers as well across the country. Yes it will be fun to open all the gifts each and every day even into December. A great way to get into the spirit and yes it is great marketing on the part of the company.
