Have you ever wanted to try something so much that it became an obsession? Last year, just before Christmas, when I heard about Tate's Chocolate Chip Cookies in magazines, newspapers and on television I had to try them. A rich, buttery, crispy chocolate chip cookie is one of my ultimate comfort foods.
Imagine my excitement when I was once again contacted by Tate's Bake Shop and given the opportunity to share their latest world class award winning cookies with one lucky reader. Even though Tate's celebrates cookies all year long October is Cookie Month so what better to celebrate than to have one lucky winner have 3 bags of Tate's Bake Shop's latest award winning Whole Wheat Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies as well as your very own signed copy of Kathleen King’s cookbook, The Tate’s Bake Shop Cookbook. delivered right to your door.
I have a copy of this cookbook and have made many delicious treats from it's pages such as Nutella Shortbread Sandwich Cookies, Warm Individual Chocolate Cakes, Mocha Pecan Muffins and Fresh Blueberry and White Chocolate Tart. Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa herself, has written the foreword for Kathleens cookbook. As quoted from Amazon, "All the recipes in this book should take less time to make than it would to go to a store to buy a commercially prepared baked good," King says. Her fans have come to rely on her standards, and that's what they'll get: Lemon Pound Cake, Raspberry Squares and Old-Fashioned Soft Sugar Cookies are exactly the sort of time-tested delights King's loyal customers clamour for."
Just follow the instructions below. The giveaway is open until midnight Monday, October 10th which is Canadian Thanksgiving. We couldn't be more thankful than to receive these cookies so get your comments in to receive your package just in time to celebrate Cookie Month!!
I will announce the winner on Thanksgiving.
Bite into a Tate's Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies and you'll quickly realize that butter is the not-so-secret ingredient. The thin, crispy, caramel-tasting treats are the signature product of Kathleen King's Southampton, New York, bakery... and the guilty pleasure of beach-bound Manhattanites, celebrity fans such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Rachael Ray... and cookie lovers around the country. Their award winning whole wheat dark chocolate cookies are thin and crispy just like their classic chocolate chip cookie, but these are made with rich bittersweet chocolate chips and whole wheat flour. I must say they are very addictive when you can't eat just one!!!!
I love to hear these kind of success strories. Growing up on a Long Island farm, Ms. King began baking when she was "knee high to a grasshopper" and now, some four decades later, sells her confections in 40 States. Tate's in Southampton is named for Kathleen King's father who cultivated potatoes on his local farm. He is not a statuesque man at 4' 11" and received the nickname "Little Tater". This was eventually shortened to just "Tate". That's how iconic Tate's (Bake Shop) was born as a tribute to Ms. King's father.
Win this cookbook....

One of our favorite family traditions is making cookies, painting them, then giving them away to friends and neighbors at Christmas. Ours aren't always very traditional, but they are fun to do together.

ReplyDeleteI'm chilling the milk! I heard about these cookies in "blogland" last year but forgot about them. With all the raves about their tastiness, I need to rectify that. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteBest,

Didn't know there was a cookie month (and I just missed Coffee Day!) But I'd celebrate! I'd love to try these cookies.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cookie would have to be the good old chocolate chip, but the whole wheat version! I think it's fabulous how they incorporated whole wheat flour into their cookies. It just makes their selection of cookies that much different and appealing. I would love the chance to gobble down some of their cookies and share the rest with my family :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info about October being cookie month. I had no idea and yet wrote a post about cookies. The bake shop looks lovely: no wonder it produces nice goodies.
