A Christmas Thought

Each comment on this blog stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime. And while you may not be aware of any special link, just meeting you has changed my path, a lot more than you could imagine! Whether I have known you for many years or a few hours, in some way you have been a part of shaping things I do here on More Than Burnt Toast. Now that Christmas has come, I realize anew, the best gift life can offer is meeting people like you.

Have a wonderfully joyous holiday season whatever it might bring. Best Blogger Tips

What a sweet message, Val! Sometimes, I think I am taking the building of these "cyber" relationships too seriously - as they do become "real" in the sharing of ones everyday life through food and learning through recipes... who to ask what to... etc..
Your post has definitely comforted me today, as I feel the same way.
I was going to send you a private message - but there is so little time - this time of year... with the new business we have started (baby steps now, but I will be retiring from teaching, soon), we will be focusing a great deal on tours and travelling. The cooking classes are just a belief of mine that an opportunity exists that has not been taken advantage of yet, locally - to get these young amazing cooks highlighted! And, it appears I may be right! But, we will be looking to tour nationally and internationally - and as you live in one of Canada's most special places, you may be interested in helping me find great culinary experiences in your area (as I definitely value your opinion) and/or teaching a class yourself whenever we tour to you! Something to think about! If I think it would be fun for me, I know it would be for others!!

You're right- for bloggers, links, comments and postings are how we share and connect. I often wish blogs could be a little more two-way...

Keep up the good work and all the best for a happy New Year!
