Presto Pasta Nights has been the baby of Ruth over at Once Upon a Feast for over 3 glorious years. Whenever we feel the urge for some pasta we can go over to her site and have 3 years of entries from all over the world to choose from from pasta salad to lasagna to Pho. There is a pasta for every season, every ingredient and every taste. All of these delicious pasta dishes have been submitted by all of you!!!
I have followed and tried to join in on the fun whenever I have pasta. My cupboards are always full of pasta in countless shapes and sizes. It is simply too hard to resist at our local Italian grocers, especially since they have expanded!!! I want to have pasta every day of the year!!!!
This week I have been lucky enough to host this long lasting event so join me as we support our fellow bloggers and enjoy their delicious pasta dishes.
All Easy Veggie Pasta
Pea Lasagna
Buffalo Chicken Pasta
Italian Sausage Pasta with Zucchini Alfredo
Debbie wowed us with her Italian Sausage Pasta with Zucchini Alfredo Sauce on her blog Debbi Does Dinner... Healthy and Low Calorie . What started out as a zucchini alfredo sauce morphed into something totally different. This is another jaw dropping way to enjoy seasonal zucchini!!!!
Simple Sesame Noodles
Our next dish comes from the uber talented Amy of Very Culinary with her Simple Sesame Noodles. Amy says, "This is light, yet very filling. And every bite has the wonderful flavour of sesame oil, with just a hint of zing from the chili oil. It’s so incredibly easy and good, that there really isn’t any excuse not to make it." Do I need to join you in your Team Beachbody Workout Amy!!!
Pasta Pretty
Judith of Think on It brings a tasty plate full of Pasta Pretty. Judith serves up this healthy dish in one of her best crystal bowls since food should be special every day. Artichokes, tomatoes, peppers, and avocado all combine for one special treat!! Thanks for bringing this dish to Presto Pasta Nights Judith.
Linguine with Zucchini, Garlic, Black Olives,
and Toasted Breadcrumbs
Speedy Tomato Spaghetti with Capers and Haddock
It is a wonder to me that the recipes are still coming in!!!! Helen of Fuss Free Flavours decided to join Presto Pasta Nights this week with a flavourful Speedy Tomato Spaghetti with Capers and Haddock . Helen has been lucky enough to attend some Bertolli tastings. She says, "Here is my take on one of the recipes that Gennaro Contaldo made for a group of bloggers at the Bertolli tasting. I used spaghetti, Bertolli Arrabiata from the store cupboard, capers from the fridge and two haddock fillets from the freezer. Absolutely delicious and very easy to put together. "
Pasta in a Creamy Tomato Spinach Sauce
Across the ocean in India Bergamot of Cooking Escapades wows us with her Pasta in a Creamy Tomato Spinach Sauce. She says, "Spinach adds a different twist to this pasta. It is healthy, light and really easy to make." We think it would be delicious too Bergamot. Thanks for participating this week. You have given us an excellent idea!!
Cobnut, Stilton and Fig Pasta
Cobnut, Stilton and Fig Pasta comes from the talented Abby of Eat The Right Stuff. Yet again I have learned something today... being introduced to the cobnut. Cobnuts are similar to hazelnuts. Mankind has enjoyed wild hazelnuts from time immemorial, and cultivated hazelnuts, sometimes known as filberts, have been grown in gardens and orchards since at least the 16th century. Children played an early version of 'conkers' with hazelnuts; the game was called cobnut or cobblenut, and the winning nut "the cob". Well this is a winning dish Abby!! You are our "cob".
Pasta Frittata
From sunny California Kirsten of From Kirsten's Kitchen to Yours is delighted to offer you her Pasta Frittata. Kirsten loves to cook from the pantry and utilizes what she has available. This pasta dish relies on leftovers which makes this dish a particularly good transformation. She morphs leftover pasta puttanesca, Parmesan and eggs into one amazing dish.
Store Cupboard Pasta
Corina of Searching for Spice is a "newbie" to Presto Pasta Nights. Let's all welcome her to the roundup!!! She brought a delicious Store Cupboard Pasta which reminds her of her university days. There is a bit of everything in there from vegetables to protein for one heart healthy dish. I imagine it is "cost effective" too.
Caprese Pasta Salad
A twist on a classic Madge of Vegetarian Casserole Queen brings us a Caprese Pasta Salad. She used basil pesto to add that traditional touch with a twist. This was Madges's first time here at PPN also. She says, "If you wanted a healthier version of the recipe, you could substitute the pesto for fresh basil and be sure to use a fat free vinaigrette."
Pasta with Sausage, Tomatoes and Chard
Pasta with Sausage, Tomatoes and Chard has to be on your dinner table this weekend! Kate is one of my favourite bloggers from Thyme for Cooking - The Blog and brings us this delicious pasta dish with her usual wit and a story or two of life as an Expat in France. Sausages, sun-ripened garden tomatoes and chard come together for a fabulous dish.
Sonoran Chicken Pasta with Spicy Black Beans
Ann of a Split Pear-sonality captures our hearts with Ruby Tuesday's Sonoran Chicken Pasta with Spicy Black Beans. Ann has made this dish her own using seasoned, grilled chicken, with the bonus of a mild Southwest flavoured cheese sauce courtesy of a liberal dose of salsa. With the addition of black beans this takes this dish into the realm of all protein powerhouses.
Three Cheese Spaghetti Nests
Marla of Family Fresh Cooking was very enthusiastic this week and submitted two recipes from her long list of inspiring dishes. First we have Three Cheese Spaghetti Nests . Marla says, " I cannot think of anyone that does not like a comforting bowl of hearty carbs with gooey melted cheese. With these nests I wanted to get a bit playful with presentation. " Add me too that list Marla they captured my heart!!!!! Next she followed with Fiesta Pasta with Avocado, Feta and Salsa. "It is simple to prepare, very healthy and full of flavour. You can make as much or as little as you need. The measurements do not have to be precise. You add what you want and can easily make adaptations." That is our kind of pasta Marla!!
Fiesta Pasta with Avocado, Feta and Salsa
Delicious Linguine
Delicious Linguine comes from AK's Vegetarian Recipe World. Amritha loves to share the simple recipes that make up our everyday meals. She says, "Just a couple of right ingredients make the dish as delicious as a restaurant's dish." Of course she added her own special twists and personality to the dish. The "piece de resistance"... it takes only 10 minutes to make!!
Spaghetti Putanesca
From Hawaii Claudia brings a heart warming twist on the clandestine Spaghetti Puttanesca from her blog Honey From Rock. She makes additions of a sprinkling of toasted breadcrumbs, chopped parsley for colour and freshness, and some lovely preserved lemon to offset the anchovies. She also uses a quinoa spaghetti for all of you who adhere to a gluten free lifestyle. There is something for everyone in this roundup. Thanks for thinking of our gluten-free friends Claudia.
Veggie Cheese Kiddie Pasta
Speaking of thinking about everuone, let's not forget the kids with a Veggie Cheese Kiddie Pasta that will be sure to please the pickiest of eaters. Aparna of Apy Cooking. She is like the rest of us and everytime she goes to the pasta aisle, she invariably finds pasta in a large variety of shapes, sizes and nutritional contents. This time around she chose a kid-friendly fun-shaped pasta. Thanks for sharing your ideas with Presto Pasta Nights Aparna!!
Easy Peasy Chicken Dinner
Kristen of Holy Cannoli Recipes brings a winner of Easy Peasy Chicken Dinner .She says, "The chicken is already fully cooked and even has a glaze on it which adds extra flavour. We are all looking for those quick to prepare mid week recipes so thanks for sharing with Presto Pasta Nights Kristen!
Herdez Salsa Macaroni with Shrimps
Our final entry comes from Little Corner of Mine in Colorado. She brings a stunning Herdez Salsa Macaroni with Shrimps.
