We ended up with Scottish shortbread as the official "family recipe" from the old country. But they had to eat more than just cookies! LOL...<br /><br />I'll bet he and his family ate something much like this at home or out and about (if they could afford to do that). A few years ago I did up a cookbook for my daughter who was going away to university of her favourites.
